Pete was on call today so it was just me and the girls at church. I was trying to get Emily to be reverent and think of Jesus during the Sacrament. She said really loudly, “I already know everything about Jesus and I don’t want to think about him right now!”

Omigosh I love this kid. That is too funny! Did you have to do that mom thing where you are trying really hard not to laugh and you have to look the other way to keep it from snorting out?

It reminds me of this time my uncle took my cousin hometeaching with him because his partner couldn't go. My cousin was about Em's age at the time and he didn't want to leave what he was doing to go with his dad. My uncle said, c'mon Sam, let's go. And Sam yelled, at the top of his voice "Teaching people about Jesus is BORING!!!" I was laughing so hard I was in pain.

You are a better person than I am. I would NEVER go to church with just me and 2 little kids. I think you are going straight to heaven just for the effort. At least you got a great laugh out of it.
That is the best thing I've ever heard! I'm totally going to use that the next time I'm bored in church...so next Sunday I guess? Miss you guys!!!
I think she is just trying to keep you entertained since Pete wasn't there too!
