Cincinnati
Well, it's official. The Match was last Thursday, and we're headed to Cincinnati for the next 5 years. The program there is awesome, so Pete will get really good training. I am still trying to get used to the idea. Pete and I are looking at buying a house. I don't know how anyone affords it! We'll have to see if we can come up with something. Abby is crying, so I had better run...

I'm so excited for y'all! But sad that you will still be so far away. Good luck with house hunting. My only suggestion is to estimate way low on what you can afford. Something always comes up. It did with us. Termite treatment($1500). New water heater($350). Various new water valves($60). Rebuilding a water damaged window box($200). Water damaged siding replacement($150).
There is always something that happens. Just make sure you take those "expenses" into account as well. They will happen.
Not to mention there are all those things that you actually want to change. New travertine flooring($1500). Two new toilets($250). New light fixtures($500). New electrical plugs and light switches($100). New cabinet hardware($130). New paint($450). New front and back doors and harware($700). New blinds($500). And the lists go on and on. Just to give you an idea.
I'm just so excited for y'all! Your first house it the best adventure. I'm sure you will have lots of fun. When do y'all move to Ohio?
Congrats Heather! We're excited for you guys and hope that everything just falls right into place. Your dad sounds like such a neat man, what a great example of how to be. I hope I can be like that for my kids.
I'm excited for you guys! Let me know how the house hunting is going.
I happened upon your blog, and had to say congratulations! We are going to miss you, but I am sure you are so happy knowing what the future holds. Our blog is tkjones0312.blogspot.com so stop on by!
Congrats! I'm sure it is nice to now know where you will be for the next few years. Nothing like living with uncertainty! Good luck house hunting!
How exciting! All of it. What an adventure! Good luck with the house hunting!
We are so happy for you guys, but so sad for us! We're going to miss you so much next year! Good luck with the house hunt!
I somehow think that if I imagine hard enough cincinnati will just disappear or something, and then you would have to live in the ghetto with us a few more years...but now that you have really gone and bought I house I know there is no stopping you!!! And like your dad would tell you, it will be the best place ever because you will be there to make it that way!
